Karan Johar’s directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji in lead roles, completed 18 years today. The movie that released in 1998 was a blockbuster and pocketed quite a few awards that year.
On the occasion, KJo posted a picture of the three actors from the film along with an emotional caption which read, “#18YearsOfKuchKuchHotaHai .... the film that will always remain close to my heart......@iamsrk and Adi made my cinema dream come true.... (sic)"

A few hours later, close friend Shah Rukh Khan responded to the post saying, “@karanjohar Of cool chains & friendship bands.Of lov so uncomplicated all u had to say was kuch kuch hota hai.v’ve come a long way baby.Thx (sic)"

Post Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, KJo and SRK went on to do several films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) and My Name Is Khan (2010).
