Kargil Vijay Diwas: Throwback To When Salman Khan And Raveena Tandon Visited Kargil In 1999; Actress Shares Pics, Says ‘I Was There’

Kargil Vijay Diwas is commemorated every year on July 26, in India to celebrate the country’s victory over Pakistan in the 1999 war. On this day, back in 1999, Bollywood actors Vinod Khanna, Salman Khan and Raveena Tandon had made a trip to Kargil. They had travelled to Kargil for the Kargil Vijay Diwas to boost the morale of the soldiers stationed in the valley. The Mohra actress shared the pictures and made a tweet today, reminiscing memories. The pictures have even surfaced on the internet.

On Twitter, Raveena Tandon shared a picture collage featuring memories from her ’99 trip to Kargil. She posted the photo and tweeted, “#iwasthere #KargilVijayDiwas #kargil.” Tandon expressed how she was there on Kargil Vijay Diwas in 1999. Her picture collage was captioned, “With all the brave Veera! My brothers who protect us and our mother land!”

Back in 2016 as well, the Andaz Apna Apna actress had shared a picture of Vinod Khanna, Salman and her posing with soldiers. “Landed in Kargil 99 wt Vinodji, Salman, to support, boost morale of r soldiers.came back wt valuable lessons in humanity,” she had written while tweeting the photo. On Kargil Vijay Diwas 2021, some unseen photos of Raveena and Salman from Kargil also surfaced. The photos show the actors clicked with soldiers of the Indian Army. Meanwhile, ahead of Kargil Vijay Diwas this year, actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani travelled to Kargil with filmmaker-producer Karan Johar. They released the trailer of the upcoming film Shershaah and gave a glimpse of Army jawans.
