Gangster Vikas Dubey who was accused of killing around eight policemen in an ambush was recently shot dead by Uttar Pradesh Police in an encounter. While social media was abuzz with netizens debating over whether it was a fake encounter or real, news of a film being made on the late gangster made it to the headlines. Reports had it that a film on gangster Vikas Dubey will be made and the lead character will be played by none-other-than Manoj Bajpayee. However, the actor has rubbished the reports.
Retweeting the report that stated that Manoj Bajpayee will play gangster Vikas Dubey in his next, the actor wrote, "Wrong news". Supposedly, producer Sandip Kapur had tweeted that Manoj Bajpayee is a perfect fit to play the gangster. The tweet that has now been deleted by Mr Kapur read, "What has happened today in the encounter is beyond cinematic and dramatic experience. @BajpayeeManoj how about playing Vikas Dubey in your next? You'll kill it! #VikasDubey #Encounter @DrKumarVishwas," as reported by Mumbai Mirror.
This sets the record straight, Manoj Bajpayee is not going to play the gangster in his next film. Check out his tweet below:
