Rakesh Roshan has firmly dismissed recent reports claiming that his son, Hrithik Roshan, demanded a massive budget of Rs 500 crore for Krrish 4. The veteran filmmaker termed the speculation “nonsense” and clarified that there are no financial disagreements affecting the highly anticipated superhero film.
Rumours had been circulating that Krrish 4 was facing delays because Hrithik allegedly wanted a Rs 500 crore budget for world-class visual effects and large-scale action sequences, while producer Aditya Chopra was reportedly unwilling to go beyond Rs 350 crore. The reports suggested that these budget differences had created friction between the actor and the production house, putting the project on hold.
However, Rakesh Roshan has now set the record straight. Reacting to the claims, he said, “It’s all nonsense,” while denying that Hrithik had made any such demand. He also rejected reports of any conflict between the actor and the makers regarding the film’s scale or budget. According to him, there are “no issues” surrounding the project, and the film remains very much on track.
Addressing concerns about the film’s delay, Rakesh explained that a project of Krrish 4’s magnitude naturally takes time to develop. He pointed out that each installment of the Krrish franchise required extensive planning and preparation before reaching audiences. He also indicated that Hrithik’s packed professional schedule has contributed to the timeline, rather than any financial dispute.
The clarification comes as fans continue to eagerly await updates on the next chapter of India’s most successful superhero franchise. Adding to the excitement, Krrish 4 is expected to mark Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut, making it one of the most anticipated Bollywood projects currently in development. Despite the rumours, Rakesh Roshan’s latest statement makes it clear that the film is progressing as planned and that reports of budget-related clashes are unfounded.
