There’s disappointing news for fans eagerly waiting to witness an epic clash between Ranbir Kapoor and Yash in Ramayana: Part 1. The much-anticipated face-off between Lord Rama and Ravana will not happen in the first installment of the film.
Yash, who plays Ravana in Ramayana: Part 1, has confirmed that he does not share screen space with Ranbir Kapoor in the film. During an interaction, the actor revealed, “We both have never come together on screen in this film.” This means audiences hoping to see the iconic Ram-Ravana confrontation will have to wait longer.
The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is being mounted on a massive scale and is planned as a two-part cinematic saga. The first part is expected to focus on establishing the world of Rama and Ravana separately, diving into their individual journeys rather than bringing them face-to-face early on.
As per reports, the narrative structure keeps both characters in different worlds for most of the first installment. This storytelling choice builds up the conflict gradually, setting the stage for a grand confrontation in the second part.
Ramayana: Part 1 stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana, along with a strong ensemble cast. The film is one of the most ambitious Indian projects ever, reportedly made on a staggering budget and designed as a global cinematic experience.
While the absence of a direct face-off may come as a surprise, it appears to be a deliberate creative decision. Fans can expect the eventual Ram-Ravana showdown to unfold in the sequel, making the wait even more intense and worthwhile.
