Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan have long been considered one of Bollywood’s most admired couples. The duo completed 13 years of marriage on October 16, 2025, and over the years, they have experienced both joyful moments and challenging phases in their personal lives.
In January 2025, Saif had to be admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after he was attacked at his residence. Later in the year, Kareena described 2025 as a difficult period for their family as they navigated the aftermath of the incident. Despite such challenges, the couple has continued to stand strong together.
Recently, Saif spoke candidly about his relationship with Kareena during a conversation with his sister, Soha Ali Khan, on her podcast All About Her. Reflecting on his marriage, the actor said he feels fortunate to share a stable and fulfilling relationship with his wife. He admitted that earlier in his life he did not always feel settled or happy in relationships, but things changed with time and maturity.
Saif credited both personal growth and Kareena’s supportive nature for the strength of their marriage. Speaking about their bond, he shared:
“I am very lucky that my wife and I have been on the same page. Relationship-wise, I have not always been lucky or settled or super happy, but I am today for various reasons, my maturity, as well as the kindness and understanding of my partner.”
During the same conversation, Saif also opened up about emotional dependency in relationships. He explained that sometimes people can feel emotionally needy depending on how they were raised and their experiences growing up. According to him, a partner can often help address those emotional patterns.
Saif added that affection and attention are important in any relationship. He said a couple must share intimacy, warmth, and something special between them in order to build a strong family. When partners feel happy and secure together, they are better able to pass that love on to their children.
For the unversed, Saif and Kareena share an age gap of around 10 years, but the difference has never affected their relationship, with the actress previously saying that respect, love, and fun together matter far more than age.
