Filmmaker Aditya Dhar recently heaped praise on music composer Shashwat Sachdev for his remarkable work on Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Taking to social media on Tuesday, Dhar shared a few pictures with Sachdev and penned an emotional note reflecting on their collaboration. He emphasized that Sachdev is far more than just a colleague to him, describing their bond as deeply personal and akin to that of an elder brother and younger sibling.
In his note, Dhar highlighted the incredibly fast pace at which the music for the Dhurandhar films was created. Recalling the first installment, he revealed that Sachdev composed nine songs in just nine days, while completing the entire background score within six days.
Speaking about Dhurandhar 2, Dhar shared even more astonishing details. According to him, Sachdev managed to compose a total of 14 songs in merely 11 days. Not just that, the background score for the sequel was wrapped up in an impressive three days, showcasing the composer’s extraordinary speed and efficiency.
Reacting to this intense creative process, Dhar admitted that the achievement still feels surreal to him. Expressing his admiration, he wrote, “At that speed, at that scale, with that kind of emotional depth and that kind of extraordinary quality, it’s beyond crazy.”
The filmmaker also pointed out that the music from both films was released within a short span of three months and went on to receive immense love from listeners. Several tracks even secured spots on global music charts, reflecting their widespread popularity.
With Dhurandhar 2 emerging as a massive success at the box office, Dhar’s heartfelt note stands as a testament to Sachdev’s dedication, talent, and the powerful creative synergy they share.
