Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu is receiving severe backlash on social media over her choice of jewellery. She walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week 2023 and wore a bold red shimmery gown designed by Monisha Jaising. She styled her revealing outfit with a broad golden necklace which had the goddess Lakshmi on it. Soon after her pictures surfaced online, netizens noticed the intrinsically carved Goddess Lakshmi pattern on the necklace and stated the actress shouldn't have worn it with such a revealing outfit.
A certain section of people is miffed with Pannu for wearing the goddess Lakshmi necklace with a gown that showed off her ample cleavage. Reacting to her viral pictures, one angry netizen said, “Shame on tapsee totally disgusting kisi bhi religion k symbols ko aap kese represent karte ho yeh aapko as a celebrity pata hona chahiye.” Another said, “Aise vulgar photo me Maa Laxmi ka haar pehna huaa hai... Shame on you tapsee!” One comment can be read, “disgusting shame on you.”
The 35-year-old actress presented Reliance Jewels’ Akshaya Tritiya collection and looked piping hot in a bold red dress with a plunging neckline.
