There are whispers that Ayan may keep his superman flick starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt aside, and go ahead with a romantic saga which would have a different heroine.

Obviously his best friend Ranbir will continue to lead the cast but if all goes well, it could be RK's ex Deepika Padukone who may find herself on board.
Ayan has met Deepika and sounded her off about his probable change in plans.
A source says, "If Deepika consents, Ayan will definitely keep the superman film at the backburner. He is simply waiting for her to get back with her final decision."

Ranbir and Deepika set the screens on fire in Ayan's last film Yeh Jawaaani Hai Deewani with their scorching chemistry. Their chemistry in Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha was no less.
