Deepika Padukone took out some time from her busy schedule to design a fashion line. So obviously she had to be there for it.
The fact that the collection is being launched right around the time there's buzz about Bajirao Mastani, is pure coincidence.
But what she has on is pure simplicity. A floral print top and some flared jeans. Which are back in fashion, BTW. (Athiya Shows Off Her Lean Frame With Flare, September 21) You can now push your skinny jeans to the back of the closet.
Picking up from the red of the flowers on the top, she styled herself in red shoes and a bold red lip.
It's basic, it's beautiful and very, very wearable. You can totally wear this to work without people asking you what's the big occasion; why are you so dressed up.
Here's further proof that Deepika loves her some flared denims. For another event she wore a white Proenza Schouler top and jeans by Zara. Oh yeah and her pumps are from a little someone called Christian Louboutin. The soft make-up and the '70s inspired hairdo are so doable. You can easily replicate this look with no one batting an eyelid because they'd be too busy staring at you in amazement.
