When Batman’s live-action films are in debate, the only name that will frequently pop up is Michael Keaton. While many argue that Christian Bale or Ben Affleck are the best actors as Batman, but veteran fans know only Keaton has successfully managed to handle the mantle of Batman and Bruce Wayne.

While the world is yet again preparing for the return of the Dark Knight, which will be played by Robert Pattinson - who will be the seventh star to play the character in the upcoming movie ‘The Batman’ - we have yet another good news for the fans.

Veteran actor Michael Keaton, who will be seen wearing the signature cape and cowl in ‘The Flash’, has signed the deal for playing the role of Batman once again and this time, it will be for an HBO Max movie. 

Well, portraying the legendary comic-book character is a once in a lifetime opportunity, but Keaton has been awarded yet another opportunity owing to his fan following and his admiration for the character. The superstar will be dusting off his costume for the upcoming ‘Batgirl’ starring Leslie Grace in the titular role.

According to the HollywoodReporter, the 70-year-old actor will be joining the already announced cast of Grace, JK Simmons, and Brendan Fraser. The plot is kept under wraps, but we know that the story revolves around Barbara Gordon (Grace), the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner Jim Gordon. The movie is being helmed by the dynamic duo of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. 

This will be the fourth time that Keaton will be playing the iconic character and fans are excited to see their favourite Caped Crusader take up the mantle once again.

Shortly after the news of Michael Keaton’s casting surfaced online, social media went berserk. Many shared their excitement on Twitter as one of the users wrote that this is the best news of the Covid movie ear.

Michael Keaton first portrayed billionaire Bruce Wayne and his alter ego in the 1989 movie ‘Batman’. He reprised his role in the second movie of Tim Burton’s ‘Batman’ franchise ‘Batman Returns’.
