The foundation in a statement said that the money will support “on-the-ground partners working on the frontlines of disaster response especially those focused on protecting and serving marginalized communities -- helping the most vulnerable in the United States, the Caribbean and in Africa prepare for what is to come." Clara Lionel Foundation announced the same on their social media. The tweet read, “We’ve responded to COVID-19 by distributing $5 million to @PIH@DirectRelief @FeedingAmerica @rescueorg @WHO & #Barbados to prepare communities w/ critical protective gear, medical supplies, equipment and access to food across multiple regions. #CLF #HealthcareHeroes.”
Seeing as how Rihanna’s foundation has come up with this donation, let’s hope more celebrities come forward to help out in a situation that has put almost the whole world in a state of panic and requires all our efforts to get through.
