Actress Kritika Kamra has tied the knot with television host and actor Gaurav Kapur in an intimate wedding ceremony held at their home in Mumbai. The couple chose to celebrate the special occasion in a private setting, surrounded by their families and a close circle of friends.
The wedding was designed to be simple yet meaningful, reflecting the couple’s preference for a personal celebration rather than a lavish, large-scale affair. The ceremony took place at their residence and followed a registrar-style format, making the event warm and heartfelt. The décor of the celebration was inspired by sunset tones and golden-hour hues, giving the gathering a soft and elegant ambience that perfectly matched the intimate mood of the evening.
In a joint statement shared after the wedding, Kritika and Gaurav expressed their happiness and gratitude while beginning this new chapter together. For the ceremony, Kritika wore a beautiful red Chanderi saree that was specially woven for her and gifted by her mother. The saree was created through her own initiative that works to preserve the traditional dyeing art of Chanderi silk while supporting women artisans. Gaurav complemented her look with an elegant ivory and gold traditional outfit designed by Raghavendra Rathore, adding to the warm aesthetic of the celebration.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds stepped out to greet the paparazzi stationed outside the venue. While posing for pictures, Gaurav humorously remarked, “Hum log ka life match ho jata hai lekin look kabhi match nahi hota (Our lives match, but our looks never match)”. The celebration was attended by several friends from the entertainment and sports fraternity, making the intimate gathering even more special for the couple.
The celebrations are expected to continue with a larger gathering hosted by the couple on March 12, where more friends and well-wishers will join them to celebrate their union.
