Popular Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda tragically passed away after battling for his life for over 10 days in a hospital following a road accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. The 35-year-old singer met with an accident on September 27 near Baddi while riding his bike, suffering severe head and spinal injuries. He was initially taken to a nearby Civil Hospital, where he suffered a cardiac arrest soon after being admitted. Owing to his critical condition, Rajvir was later shifted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where he remained under intensive care until his demise.
The heartbreaking news of his passing was confirmed by actress Neeru Bajwa, who took to social media to express her sorrow. “Heartbroken by the tragic loss of such a young and promising life. Sending deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of @rajvirjawandaofficial. May you find strength and peace during this unimaginable time. Gone far too soon, but never forgotten,” she wrote. Her post reflected the grief felt across the Punjabi entertainment industry, as many remembered Jawanda not only as a singer but as a kind-hearted individual loved by fans and peers alike.
Earlier, singer Ammy Virk had shared an update about Rajvir’s health, saying that his “heartbeat is now stable” and urging fans to keep praying for his recovery. His message had given hope to many, as fans flooded social media with prayers and good wishes. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had also visited the hospital to check on Rajvir’s health and extend support to his family, showing how deeply the incident had impacted the Punjabi music fraternity and beyond.
Rajvir Jawanda was best known for chartbuster tracks like Kali Jawande Di, Mera Dil, and Sardari. Apart from singing, he had also acted in a few Punjabi films and was known for his love for biking, often sharing glimpses of his adventurous rides across hilly terrains. His untimely death has left a void in the Punjabi music world, with fans mourning the loss of a vibrant artist whose voice and charm had won countless hearts.
