After months of speculation and several postponements, Kannada superstar Yash has finally announced the new release date of his much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. The action-packed entertainer is now scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on August 26, 2026, bringing relief and excitement to fans who have been eagerly awaiting an official update.
The announcement was made along with a fresh poster from the film, confirming that the project is back on track after facing multiple delays over the past year. Directed by Geethu Mohandas, Toxic is one of the most anticipated Indian films currently in production and marks Yash’s first major release after the blockbuster success of the KGF franchise.
The film was initially expected to arrive much earlier, but production schedules, post-production work, and the makers’ plans for a larger international rollout resulted in repeated postponements. Earlier this year, Yash had confirmed that the team wanted to ensure the film achieved its “fullest potential” globally before locking a final release date.
Toxic has generated massive buzz among moviegoers, not only because of Yash’s return to the big screen but also due to its scale and star-studded cast. The film reportedly features actors including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. Reports also suggest that Yash will be seen in a dual role, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.
With the release date now officially locked, fans can finally begin the countdown to one of the biggest theatrical releases of the year. Given the scale of the film and Yash’s immense popularity across India, Toxic is expected to be a major box-office contender when it arrives in cinemas on August 26.
