Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt took social media by storm as she unveiled her first look as Sita from Baahubali fame director SS Rajamouli’s upcoming venture, RRR. The actress looked simply elegant in the first look as she draped a plain green saree with thin gold border teamed with a blouse in red and zari work over it. The actress was seen seated against an idol of Lord Rama. This film that marks Alia Bhatt’s big debut in the South Indian film industry, she is reported to have received big money for this magnum opus.
All set to share screen space with Ram Charan, as per reports in Times of India, the actress is said to have been paid Rs 6 Crore for her part. To bring to your notice none of the actresses in the Tollywood despite being seen in leading role are paid such a huge amount. But as Alia Bhatt as proven her mettle on the silver screen, with the movies such as Raazi, Gully Boy, Highway and more, seems like the makers are willing to pay this big amount to get her on board.
This period action drama has some eminent names attached to it such it is penned by Baahulbali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad, and also features Olivia Morris, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Chatrapathi Sekhar and Shriya Saran.
Besides this there were also speculations, KV Vijayendra Prasad who was keen to cast Kareena Kapoor Khan for Sita: The Incarnation, might choose Alia Bhatt as Bebo had reportedly asked for Rs.12 crore.
