In an exclusive conversation with The Free Press Journal, stars including Shilpa Shinde, Aasif Sheikh, Rohitashv Gour, and Vidisha Srivastava talked about the show’s evolution, the pressure to entertain, and how they’re keeping audiences engaged even after almost a decade on air.
Shinde said this was the right time for her to return, explaining that the storyline has changed, and she’s bringing something new to the iconic role. When asked about fan expectations and her own emotions, she stressed that making people laugh is not easy and that the audience’s continued love motivates the team. “All we want is for the audience to accept us with the same love,” she said.
Aasif Sheikh added that while introducing horror elements, their top priority remains comedy. He explained how the actors and writers work closely to ensure the humour doesn’t suffer, even within the eerie setting.
Rohitashv Gour described his character Tiwari as someone who finds himself constantly troubled by supernatural elements, creating new opportunities for comic moments. Vidisha Srivastava also noted changes in her character Anita Bhabhi’s look and persona for the season.
The cast acknowledged the pressure to live up to the show’s legacy but stressed that their main aim is to keep the humour sharp and entertaining for both loyal and new audiences.
