Actor Parag Tyagi has once again drawn attention to the sudden death of his wife, actress and television personality Shefali Jariwala, by claiming that black magic was performed on her before her unexpected demise in June 2025. His statements came during a recent podcast discussion with Paras Chhabra, where he insisted that his belief in supernatural involvement came from personal conviction and experience rather than mere speculation.
Shefali Jariwala, widely known for her breakout role in the remix Kaanta Laga and her appearances on various television shows and reality programmes, passed away suddenly last year. Initially, Shefali’s death shocked her fans and colleagues, with medical reports later confirming cardiac arrest as the official cause.
On the podcast, Tyagi openly acknowledged that many people do not believe in such phenomena, but said he does. In his own words, “Bahot saare log nahi maante inn cheezon ko but main bahot maanta hoon. Jahan par bhagwan hai wahan shaitaan bhi hai. Aur pata hai log apne dukh se dukhi nahi hai, dusre ke sukh se duhkhi hai. Mujhe lagta nahi mujhe pata hai kisine kiya hai. Main ye nahi bol sakta kisne kiya but kisine toh kiya hai.”
Tyagi elaborated that he felt something was wrong on more than one occasion. He said, “Mujhe mehsoos hota hai ke kuch toh gadbad hai. Ek baar nahi do baar hua hai aisa mehsoos, aur ek baar toh nikal gaye lekin iss baar thoda heavy rahi cheezein. I don't know, idea nahi kya cheez thi kya nahi.”
He further shared that during moments of prayer and devotion, he sensed unusual changes in her, which led him to intensify religious rituals at home. Despite his belief, official medical findings continue to state that Shefali’s death resulted from cardiac arrest, and no conclusive evidence of supernatural involvement has been reported.
