Bhojpuri actress and influencer Vannu D’Great has caused a stir with new revelations about her troubled marriage to Mani Meraj. In a tearful video shared on social media, Vannu explained that differences in their religious backgrounds led Mani to abandon her. She also accused him of unfaithfulness and of planning to take another wife.
In a subsequent post, Vannu released a private video of the two celebrating their first anniversary at a hotel—Mani stroking her hair—in which she claims she was coerced by her husband into uploading the intimate clip. She described the moment as part of their personal history, forced into public view, saying: “Mujhe majboor kiya usne hamare personal video dalne ke liye … Welcome Hotel ki video hai 14/7/24 ki. Bhagoda Meraj teri sari sacchai dheere-dheere saamne laungi …” She challenged him, asking how long he could make people believe false stories, and wondered if he would try to dismiss the video as AI-generated.
Vannu also shared that prior to their wedding, others had warned her about Mani’s character, but she chose to trust him anyway. She said she had asked him and his in-laws to accept her as their daughter-in-law, but was instead told to keep the marriage secret because of her religion.
To date, Mani Meraj and his family have not publicly commented on Vannu’s allegations. Her posts have prompted widespread discussion and confusion among the public, many of whom are waiting to see if Mani will respond.
