Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding Sara Ali Khan and the new rule introduced by the Badri-Kedar Temple Committee. The committee recently stated that non-Hindu devotees must submit a written affidavit declaring their faith in Sanatan Dharma if they wish to offer prayers at the Kedarnath and Badrinath temples.

The issue gained attention after the committee’s chairman mentioned Sara as an example, saying that she too would need to follow the rule if she intends to visit the temples. The regulation applies to all non-Hindus and is aimed at maintaining the religious sanctity of the shrines.

Reacting to the development while speaking to the media outside Parliament, Kangana openly supported the move. She said, “Sab sanatani hai. Yahan pe jo bhi hai sab sanatani hai. Sanatan matlab jiska naa aadi hai naa anth. Saare religion 1000-1500 saal purane hai. Woh bhi sanatani hie hai, ab unko satya likhne mein kya ghabrahat. Likh dijiye.”

Her statement suggests that she believes everyone is inherently connected to Sanatan Dharma and therefore should not hesitate in formally declaring their faith. Kangana further implied that Sara, too, should have no issue submitting the affidavit if she wishes to continue visiting the temples.

The statement has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users questioning the need for such a requirement, while others debated the logic behind asking for written proof of faith.

The new directive by the temple committee has triggered a wider discussion about religion, personal belief, and access to sacred spaces, especially in cases involving public figures like Sara Ali Khan.
