Bollywood actor Ameesha Patel has finally returned to Mumbai after facing a stressful travel situation caused by rising tensions in the Middle East. The actress had earlier shared that she was stuck during her journey while flying back to India from New York.
She was travelling on an Emirates flight from New York to Mumbai via Dubai when the situation took a sudden turn. Just as the aircraft was about to land in Dubai, the UAE airspace was abruptly shut due to fresh missile attacks in the region. As a result, her flight was diverted to Muscat in Oman, leaving passengers uncertain about their next steps.
Sharing her experience on social media, Ameesha expressed concern over the unfolding crisis and wrote, “On my way back to MUMBAI from NEW YORK on Emirates! As we were about to land in DUBAI the airspace closed in UAE due to fresh missile attacks! We have now been diverted to MUSCAT n are awaiting further updates!! When will this WAR end!! Praying ❤️.”
After the diversion, the actress, along with other passengers, had to wait for hours at the airport without clarity on when they would be able to continue their journey. She even shared another update mentioning the long delay and her eagerness to return home, highlighting the uncertainty and exhaustion caused by the unexpected disruption.
Following nearly 24 hours of travel delays and waiting, Ameesha finally reached Mumbai safely. Expressing her relief and gratitude, she posted, “Finallyyyyyyy MUMBAI!!! Thank u everyone for all your prayers !! ❤️!!”
Her experience reflects how escalating tensions in the Middle East have impacted international travel, leaving many passengers stranded or facing sudden route changes. Despite the ordeal, the actress made it back home safely and thanked her well-wishers for their support during the difficult journey.
