Reports about Amitabh Bachchan being admitted to a Mumbai hospital due to stomach-related issues created concern among fans on Tuesday night. However, sources close to the veteran actor clarified that the reports were inaccurate and that he had only visited the hospital for a routine medical check-up. The 83-year-old actor reportedly went for his regular monthly examination and returned home shortly after.
Speculation began after several media reports claimed that Bachchan had been admitted to Nanavati Hospital’s VIP wing for nearly three days because of stomach complications. The rumours quickly spread across social media, with fans expressing worry and sending prayers for the actor’s recovery. Despite the buzz, people close to the actor insisted that there was no serious health issue and dismissed the hospitalisation claims as false.
A source quoted in media reports stated, “He went in for a routine health check-up and came back home. He usually goes every month for a checkup.” Another insider also maintained that the actor was “absolutely fine” and had resumed his normal routine soon after the visit.
Amid the rumours, Bachchan continued his regular activities and was recently seen greeting fans during his customary Sunday darshan outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa. He also shared a cryptic Hindi poem on his blog, which many fans interpreted as an indirect response to the ongoing speculation around his health.
The megastar has not personally commented on the reports yet. Meanwhile, fans have expressed relief after clarifications confirmed that the hospital visit was simply part of his regular medical routine and not linked to any major health emergency.
