Comedian Bharti Singh recently faced backlash for traveling to Thailand while her family in Punjab was reportedly dealing with a crisis amid growing Indo-Pak tensions. In a heartfelt vlog, Bharti addressed the criticism and clarified the purpose of her trip, explaining it was for professional commitments and not a vacation.
She stated that the Bangkok project was scheduled months ago, and she had invested time and effort into preparing for it. “It would be unprofessional to cancel it last minute,” Bharti said, holding back tears. She emphasized that although she is physically away, her heart and thoughts remain with her family and home state.
Bharti reassured her viewers that her family in Amritsar is safe and in high spirits. “Every time I call them, they greet me with smiles. They are proud that I’m working,” she shared. The comedian expressed deep faith in the strength and unity of the nation, stating, “India is a very strong country. No one can shake it.”
She also appealed to fans not to fall for misinformation circulating online. “When I read your comments, I don’t get angry. I just feel sad because you are very innocent,” Bharti added.
Drawing from her Punjabi values, she highlighted the importance of fulfilling commitments. “One thing I’ve learned from Punjabis is—once you give your word, you should honor it,” she said.
Bharti is currently shooting for “Laughter Chef” Season 2, a project she says holds both personal and professional value. She concluded the vlog by urging people to stay united and trust verified news sources during tense situations.
