Social media influencer Faizan Ansari has entered the Surya murder case in Ghaziabad and met the victim's family. Following his visit, Faizan demanded strict action against those involved in the crime and submitted a memorandum to the Police Commissioner. He also urged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to impose a ban on Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) celebrations in Ghaziabad.
Speaking to a news channel after meeting the family, Faizan expressed his views on the incident and said, “Khoḍa ki dharti par ek Hindu yuvak ka khoon baha hai. Ab Ghaziabad aisa pehla shahar banna chahiye, jahan Bakrid par poori tarah se ban laga diya jaye.”
Faizan further stated that no true Muslim should support such a horrific crime. Addressing potential criticism over his remarks, he said, “Mujhe kisi bhi tarah ke fatwe ya virodh ka koi dar nahi hai.” His comments have since sparked discussions across social media and among local residents.
Meanwhile, the police investigation into the murder case is continuing. According to reports, the police have arrested Sarik Mewati, the fifth accused in the case. Authorities tracked him down after receiving information about his whereabouts. During interrogation, Sarik allegedly admitted to his involvement in the crime.
The Uttar Pradesh government has also extended support to the victim’s family. As part of the assistance package, a government job has been provided to one member of Surya’s family. Reports state that the District Magistrate personally handed over the appointment letter to Surya’s mother.
At the same time, law enforcement agencies have intensified their operations in the Khoda area. Verification drives and searches are being conducted to identify individuals with criminal backgrounds. According to officials, more than 1,600 suspects and history-sheeters have been identified as part of the ongoing action aimed at maintaining law and order in the region.
The Surya murder case continues to attract attention, with fresh developments emerging as the investigation progresses and public reactions continue to pour in.
Notably, Faizan Ansari is the first Indian influencer to be featured in The New York Times, where American journalist Michael Dorgan wrote about him.
