Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the shocking Ketan Agarwal murder case, stating that parents should not be held responsible for the actions of their adult children.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana shared her views on the case, saying it is unfair to blame parents every time an adult commits a crime. According to her, every individual is accountable for their own actions, and no parent raises a child with the intention of seeing them become a criminal.
"Parents can't be blamed for children's actions," Kangana wrote, adding that society should stop holding families responsible for crimes committed by grown-up individuals. She stressed that personal choices and actions ultimately lie with the individual.
Her statement comes amid nationwide attention on the alleged murder of Pune-based businessman Ketan Agarwal. According to the police investigation, Agarwal was allegedly murdered in a pre-planned conspiracy involving his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary. The case has sparked widespread public outrage and intense media scrutiny.
The families of the accused have also spoken publicly about the case. Siya Goyal's mother said that if her daughter is found guilty, she deserves the strictest punishment under the law. On the other hand, Chetan Chaudhary's father has maintained that his son is innocent and has been falsely implicated.
Kangana's remarks have triggered mixed reactions on social media. While many users agreed with her opinion that parents should not be judged for the decisions of their adult children, others argued that a person's upbringing and family environment can influence their behaviour.
The investigation into the Ketan Agarwal murder case is currently underway, with authorities continuing to examine the evidence and circumstances surrounding the incident.
