In an interview, Mrunal responded to these viral claims with a mix of amusement and candour. Laughing off the rumours, she remarked that according to some reports, “woh to shaadi ho rahi hai” (the wedding is taking place), underlining the absurdity of the speculation. The actress stressed that if she ever had any significant personal update to share, she would announce it herself.
Mrunal also revealed that the gossip about her life has at times become intrusive. She disclosed that she recently had to hire a PR team for her safety after her home address was shared publicly, something she hadn’t needed before. “Up until now, I didn’t have a PR team… I had to hire a team to sort things out because my home address was out in public,” she said, explaining that it was done purely as a protective measure.
Despite the seriousness of that incident, she maintained a humorous tone, adding that even if she spent ₹3 crore, ₹6 crore or ₹10 crore on publicity, she wouldn’t get the same level of attention as these rumours have given her. With a mix of irony and gratitude, she concluded, “So, a big thank you to everybody who has been spreading fake rumours.”
Overall, Mrunal chose to focus on her career and the upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein, reiterating that she won’t let gossip distract her from her work while leaving any real personal announcements to be made by her, and her alone.
