Salman Khan and Nayanthara have officially begun shooting for their upcoming film directed by Vamshi Paidipally in Mumbai. The much-anticipated project, which is yet to be titled, is being mounted as a grand, large-scale action entertainer and has already generated significant buzz among fans.
The film went on floors on April 22, 2026, marking the start of a major collaboration between the Bollywood superstar and the South Indian leading lady. This also marks the first time Salman and Nayanthara are sharing screen space, making it one of the most exciting pairings in recent times. A video from the muhurat ceremony has surfaced online, giving fans a glimpse of the grand launch and the scale at which the film is being planned.
Backed by noted producer Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the project is expected to be a high-octane entertainer with mass appeal. The shoot has commenced with a traditional pooja ceremony, followed by a detailed schedule in Mumbai, where large sets have reportedly been constructed for key sequences.
While details about the storyline and additional cast members are still under wraps, the film is being described as a commercial entertainer with a strong emotional core. Reports suggest that the makers are planning a big theatrical release, possibly targeting a festive window.
On the work front, Salman was last seen in Sikandar (2025), while Nayanthara made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan (2023). With this new collaboration, expectations are high as the film aims to cater to a pan-India audience.
