Taking to Instagram, the actress posted a series of pictures from her Diwali celebrations, dressed elegantly in traditional attire. Alongside the photos, she wrote a sarcastic caption that read, “World record holder for longest pregnancy in human history (16 months and counting according to our lovely and hyper intelligent media) simply for posing with hand around midsection. Scroll to last slide for our reaction… and then continue to dazzle this Diwali.” Her post was a clear and humorous response to the media frenzy surrounding her supposed pregnancy.
Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot in June 2024 after years of dating. Since their wedding, the couple has frequently been in the news for rumours about expecting a baby. At the recent Diwali event, Sonakshi was seen laughing as Zaheer jokingly put his hand on her stomach. She quickly exclaimed, “Zaheer!” while he clarified to the paparazzi, “Mazaak kar rahe hai,” indicating it was just a light-hearted moment.
The couple’s playful response has put all speculations to rest, making it evident that they are not expecting a child right now. On the professional front, Sonakshi will next be seen in Jatadhara, co-starring Sudheer Babu and Divya Khossla, slated to release on November 7, 2025.
