Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have confirmed they are expecting their first child together, after 3.5 years of marriage. The couple, who married on December 9, 2021, at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan, shared a heartfelt Instagram post following earlier speculation about Katrina’s pregnancy.
In their joint announcement, Katrina penned, “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.” The accompanying photo shows the pair dressed in white; Katrina cradles her baby bump while Vicky gently places his hand on it.
The post triggered an outpouring of love from their Bollywood friends. Neha Dhupia reacted with, “Guyssssssssssss … Screaming. crying all at once. Love you both.” Ananya Panday replied with red heart emojis and the word “Best.” Janhvi Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations congratulations!!!!!!” while Varun Dhawan shared, “My heart is full.”
Others joining in the celebration included Bhumi Pednekar, Sonam Kapoor and Siddhant Chaturvedi—each adding red heart emojis to show their support. Rajkummar Rao extended his congratulations to both Vicky and Katrina. Rakul Preet Singh wrote, “Omgggggg congratulations. So happy,” and Sonakshi Sinha commented, “sooooooo happy for you guys!!!!!”
Kareena Kapoor Khan weighed in as well, saying, “This is just the best news. So happy for you my favourite Kat & Vicky.” Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor reshared their photo to his Instagram story, captioning it, “Good things happen to good people...Lots of love and good wishes.”
On the work front, Katrina was last seen in the 2024 film Merry Christmas opposite Vijay Sethupathi. Vicky’s most recent project was Chhaava, and he has Love And War by Sanjay Leela Bhansali—alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt—lined up next.
