Rajlokhi O Srikanto Second Song Starring Ritwick Chakraborty, Jyotika Jyoti To Be Out Today

This will be Ritwick’s third movie to be released in two months. In August, Ritwick’s Shantilal O Projapoti Rohoshyo was released. His next release is Parineeta on September 6 and Rajlokhi O Srikanto is releasing on September 20

Rajlokhi O Srikanto Second Song Starring Ritwick Chakraborty, Jyotika Jyoti To Be Out Today
Filmmakers of Rajlokhi O Srikanto will be releasing the second song of the movie today. The star cast includes Ritwick Chakraborty, Jyotika Jyoti. Bangladesh actress Jyotika Jyoti will be debuting with this movie in Bengali film industry. 

PSS Entertainment tweeted on its official Twitter handle, "কি বা তোমার অঙ্গে রাখি, কি ভাবে সাজাই" রাজলক্ষ্মী ও শ্রীকান্তের দ্বিতীয় গান।আসছে আজ ঠিক দুপুর ৩ টেয় #RajlokhiOSrikanto.”

The film is based is based on episode one of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel of the same name.

In the Rajlokhi O Srikanto, Ritwick is essaying the role of Srikanta who is an unmarried man in his mid-thirties. He has come to Kolkata from his village Nishindipur and works in a private nursing home in the city. He does not like what he does for a living, he wants to quit. He has a history of quitting jobs; he claims to have not liked doing any of them. What he wants is to be able to live independently, to be able to discard the trite and mediocre rules that dictate ordinary life.

At such a juncture, an old college friend of his named Hukumchand, an influential business tycoon, invites him on a picnic to a hilly province quite far from Calcutta, with a plan for them to have some fun and revelry there over a couple of days. Srikanta, having gone on such trips with Hukum previously, eagerly accepts the offer this time as well.

Side by side another story here is that of a married woman named Annada who Indranath falls in love with. They are forced to leave the village after a terrible accident and it is not until much later in the film that we find out where Indranath and Annada disappear too.

This accident had immense adverse impact on Srikanta’spsyche. It causes him to suffer from a split personality. After this Srikanta meets and later falls in love with a young girl named Rajlakshmi, a destitute refugee from Bangladesh. However the relationship falls apart because of Srikanta’s own mistakes. What will Srikanta do next? Which of his personalities will take over? And in which direction will his life inevitably lead him?
