Parambrata Chatterjee has started the shooting of his dream project Abhijaan which is a biopic on veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee. Jisshu Sengupta will be essaying the role of young Soumitra Chatterjee. The film will also feature Paoli Dam, Qaushiq Mukherjee, Rudranil Ghosh.
To maintain the curiosity among fans, Parambrata Chatterjee shared a behind the scene picture of Soumitra Chatterjee. The picture shows a close shot of the veteran actor. “A candid moment of #SoumitraChattopadhyay from the sets of #Abhijaan!,” he tweeted.

Talking about his film and why he opted for making a film on Soumitra Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee had said, “His life many layers which not many know about. He is a poet, playwright, stage actor. There are many aspects which the films had not covered and we intend to cover them. In the film, Soumitra Chatterjee will be seen as a poet, stage actor, playwright and what he thinks about being an artiste.”

Meanwhile, Parambrata Chatterjee will be next seen in Arindam Bhattacharya’s next thriller Antardhaan. The story is about missing girl child. Parambrata Chatterjee and Tanusree Chakraborty will be seen in essaying the role of husband and wife. Parambrata has been recently transferred. The couple has a daughter who one day went missing. When they start searching for her, the couple comes to know that their daughter had gone out with her friend. But the friend did not accompany their daughter then where does she go? The film is a thriller and full of suspense.
