Actress Payel Sarkar has just completed the shooting of Argha Deep Chatterjee’s upcoming thriller ‘Mukhosh’. The film is an intense thriller which sees Payel Sarkar and Rajatava Datta opposite each other.

The film also stars Prantik Banerjee, Santilal Mukherjee and debutant Amrita in pivotal roles. The story starts with Amrita lodging a complaint about her missing older sister while a senior police inspector, played by Santilal Mukherjee, begins primary investigation. Amrita believes her brother-in-law, played by Rajatava Datta, is responsible for her sister's disappearance.
Rajatava Dutta will be seen as an influential figure with strong political connections and the incident puts his career in troubled waters.
Payel made her debut with Shudhu Tumi in 2004, and since then it has been a whirwind journey for her. She was also seen in actor-director Parambrata Chattopadhyay’s six-episode web series ‘Sharate Aaj’- a thriller-romance for Zee5.
She has also been roped in for Nihal Dutta’s Romantic Comedy ‘Choddobeshi’. In the film Payel plays Sudha, a cultured lady who is into the theatre. A new actor has been selected to play the male lead. Saurav Das will essay a crucial character in the film.
