Amitabh Bachchan Gets Dadasaheb Phalke Award: Jeet, Ram Kamal Mukherjee Extends Wishes To Living Legend
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been receiving wishes for his selection for prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award. Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javedkar had announced the news on social media. 

Bollywood has been extending wishes to the living legend for this achievement. Tollywood actor Jeet took to Twitter to wish Amitabh Bacchan. “A big Congratulations @SrBachchan Sir for this highly deserved honour #DadaSahebPhalkeAwards,” he tweeted.


Director Ram Kamal Mukherjee wrote, “Woweee!! #SeasonsGreetings! Extremely happy to know that the highest and most prestigious #DadaSahebPhalkeAwards2019 has been conferred to @SrBachchan one of the finest actor from Indian cinema. Super happy! Once again thanking you for your support and blessings.”


People from all walks of life congratulated Amitabh. Politicians and film fraternity members also showered love and praise on the star. 
The actor was awarded with the Padma Shri in 1984. In 2001, he was conferred with the Padma Bhushan, 2001 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015. He was also conferred with France's highest civilian honour, the Knight of the Legion of Honour, by the French Government in 2007 for his "exceptional career in the world of cinema and beyond".

Bachchan has also won the prestigious National Award for his performances in ‘Agneepath’, ‘Black’, ‘Paa’ and ‘Piku’.
