Ashwathama: Jisshu Sengupta Shares Poster Of His Next Teulgu Film On Twitter
Talking about his other languages projects, he will be seen in two Bollywood films—Sadak 2 and Shakuntala Devi. In Sadak 2 he will be essaying the role of Alia Bhatt’s father and in Shakuntala Devi, Jisshu will be seen as Vidya Balan’s husband
Jisshu Sengupta is a versatile actor who has worked in many languages films and his plate is also currently filled with many other projects. He has recently wrapped up the shooting of Sadak 2 in which he is donning the hate of Alia Bhatt’s father and now he has shared the poster of his next Telugu film titled Ashwathama.
Chalo and Narthanasala fame Naga Shaurya and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada starrer Ashwathama is helmed by debutant Ramana Teja. Naga Shaurya’ parents Shankar Prasad and Usha Mulpuri are bankrolling this upcoming film under the banner of IRA Creations which has Airtel 4G ad girl Sargun Kaur in a crucial role.
On the other front, Jisshu’s Gharew Bairey Aaj has also released and it is doing well on the box office. The original story of Ghare Baire, written by Tagore, was about the clash of the contrasting ideologies of two friends Nikhilesh and Sandip. It was also about Bimala, wife of Nikhilesh, who is torn between these two men. It is about herself awakening about her inner and outer world.
He will also be playing husband role of Vidya Balan in Shakuntala Devi. According to reports, Vidya Balan will play the role of math genius Shakuntala Devi and Jisshu will play her on-screen husband Paritosh Banerji who was an IAS officer from Kolkata and was married to Shakuntala. However, they got separated in 1979. The film is directed by Anu Menon.
