Asur: Nusrat Jahan Speaks About Her Character In The Film

Pavel's directorial 'Asur' is all set for the release on January 3. The film stars Abir Chatterjee, Nusrat Jahan and Jeet in the lead role. The film is on the stampede incident which occurred in West Bengal. Asur is also first film of Nusrat Jahan after marriage.
Speaking about her role in the film, Nusrat said that she is very excited to be part of this film. "In the film, there are lot of shades of my character. The film is about art, friendship and how they are effected with their life," she added.
Asur is a story of three friends played by Jeet, Abir, and Nusrat. But the film will show their later phase of their life when they are in their 30s. The film is a tribute to famous sculptor and painter Ramkinkar Baij. Jeet will be seen playing that role.
The movie's plot is set at the background of 2015 Durga Puja when a stampede-like situation occurred at the Deshapirya Park Puja when people had gathered around to see 88-feet Durga idol.
Jeet is essaying the role of Kigan, who has created the tallest Durga. Bodhi, played by Abir Chatterjee, will be seen in negative role. Nusrat Jahan plays the role of Aditi, who seems to be the love interest of Jeet.
