Parambrata is finding it hard to hide his excitement after Srijit Mukherji has announced his next film Dwitiyo Purush which is a sequel of 2011 blockbuster hit film Baishe Srabon.
Taking it to the Twitter handle, he wrote, “You already know about it by now... this is just to tell all of you that HELL, I’M EXCITED!”
Parambrata will be sharing screen space with Raima Sen in the film. The film is expected to hit the screen in 2020. SVF has released the official logo of Dwitiyo Purush, which is sequel of 2011hit film ‘Baishe Srabon’, on its official Twitter handle.
Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, who played the role of DCP Prabir Roy Chowdhury in Baishe Srabon , also wished Mukherji best of luck.
The director also made the announcement on his official Twitter handle and the name of the sequel film will be ‘Dwitiyo Purush’. Srijit wrote, “Time for a re-union... #DwitiyoPurush.”
According to reports, the story of Dwitiyo Purush will start from where Baishe Srabon had left off. Baishe Srabon story revolved two journalists and two police officers (one suspended) chasing a vengeful Kolkata psychopath, who leaves behind couplets from Bengali poems. Baishe Srabon received positive reviews from critics, and was one of the highest-grossing Bengali films of 2011.
