Banshi: Director Duo Tuhin Sinha And Rahul Das’s Film Is Tapas Pal’s Last Film

In the film Banshi, Tapas Pal was supposed to essay the role of Khogen Dutta. The movie is expected to launch this month. Tapas Pal was two-term MP from Krishnanagar and MLA from Alipore.

Banshi: Director Duo Tuhin Sinha And Rahul Das’s Film Is Tapas Pal’s Last Film
Tapas Pal, veteran actor and former TMC MP, passed away on February 18 due to cardiac arrest. The sudden demise of the actor left Tollywood celebrities in shock. Tapas Pal was survived by wife and one daughter. But the actor last film ‘Banshi’ directed by director duo Tuhin Sinha and Rahul Das is left incomplete.

In the film Banshi, Tapas Pal was supposed to essay the role of Khogen Dutta. The movie is expected to launch this month. Tapas made his debut in Bengali cinema in the film Dadar Kirti. The film was blockbuster hit and was critically acclaimed film. After this film Pal as he emerged as the jubilee star of the Tollywood.


Tapas Pal was two-term MP from Krishnanagar and MLA from Alipore.  In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Pal won from the Krishnanagar Lok Sabha constituency.

Pal was also arrested in 2016 by the CBI for his alleged involvement in Rose Valley group chit fund scam. The scam has affected Pal’s political career to an extent and he was looking forward to return as a actor on the screen. But he was unable to get any films offer.
