Protests against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) have swept the whole nation. Many celebrities have raised their voice against the Act and even participated in the ongoing protest

CAA Protests: ‘This Is Exactly How I Pictured My India As A Child’, Tweeted Anindya Chatterjee
Massive protests are being witnessed across the country against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Protesters including youngsters, college students, celebrities, common people irrespective of their religion are seen raising voice, holding placards against the Act. 

Many celebrities including Bollywood, regional cinema took to their social media handle to raise their voice against this Act. And the recent one is actor Anindya Chatterjee who also tweeted about a India which everyone have dreamt of. He tagged the famous song ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumahara’ and said ‘This Is Exactly How I Pictured My India As A Child’. 


The protests which started in Assam and other cities have now taken pan-India shape. In many cities, internet services were suspended, section 144 was also imposed. There were reports claiming that protesters also died in the police firing. 

Concerned over the growing violent protests, Home Minister tweets clarifications on the CAA and National Register of Citizens (NRC).
Security has been beefed up in many cities owing to the protests going on in the country.
