Churni Ganguly’s Directorial Tarikh Nominated Under Best Writing Category At Critics Choice Film Awards 2020
There is no stop for Churni Ganguly and her film Tarikh. The film has won many awards at national and international platforms. The film, which stars Raima Sen, Saswata Chatterjee and Ritwick Chakraborty in the lead roles didn’t perform well at the box office.

 “We are extremely happy to share that @utterlyChurni has been nominated under the #BestWriting category at the @CCFAwards for #Tarikh,” Raima Sen shared.


Tarikh narrates a story of three individuals--Anirban Gupta who is a professor, then Ira who is Anirban's wife and also works as a hotel lobby manager, and Rudrangshu who is Anirban's childhood friend. Anirban is unhappy with his wife as she is not that much learned as he is and she is also very simple. While Anirban’s friend habit is very much similar to Ira but a sudden incident will change their life completely. This was the second film directed by Ganguly after Nirbashito.

As Churni Ganguly says Tarikh shows the bonding, the complex relationship between human beings and how all these things have an impact on everyone’s lives.

Tarikh has travelled to many film festivals and has won many awards. The film has received appreciation from all corners.
