Debi: Jaya Ahsan Win Bangladesh National Award For The Fourth Time
Jaya Ahsan has won Bangladesh national award for the best female actor for Debi. The supernatural thriller film is based on Humayun Ahmed's novel of the same name. It is directed by Anam Biswas, starring Chanchal Chowdhury as Misir Ali, Jaya Ahsan, and Sabnam Faria.

Happy Jaya said, "It's the highest honour which you can get. What’s the better award can there be? This will encourage me more to deliver even better work in future and make my country proud."

The Debi story revolves around the life of Ranu (Jaya Ahsan) and her paranormal powers. She goes to psychiatrist Mishir Ali (Chanchal Chowdhury) to find an answer to all her questions. Nilu (Sabnam Faria) is a lonely girl. She got connected with an unknown person on Facebook and she got curious to meet that person.

Meanwhile, Shiboprosad Mukherjee And Nandita Roy's Konttho is also being screened in Bangladesh. The film has been winning hearts of audience still now. The star cast is still receiving appreciation for their acting.

‘Konttho’ is a film which celebrates hope and fragility of life while dealing with the subject of cancer.   ‘Konttho’ revolves around a radio jockey, who gets diagnosed with cancer and how he deals with it. 

The film stars Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Paoli Dam, and Jaya Ahsan in lead roles, and is produced by Windows Productions.  Shiboprosad had played the role of radio jockey, Paoli Dam essays his wife Pritha. Jaya Ahsan plays the role of a speech therapist.
