Dwitiyo Purush: Birsa Dasgupta Praises Srijit Mukherji, Says ‘It Is Tough To Make A Sequel To Your Best Ever’
Srijit Mukherji’s next upcoming suspense thriller ‘Dwitiyo Purush’ has created a buzz among the fans and even the Tollywood celebrities. Praises are showering upon the director who has recently got married to his long-time girlfriend Rafiath Rashid Mithila.  Dwitiyo Purush is a sequel to Srijit’s blockbuster Baishe Srabon. The film is releasing on January 23, 2020.

Among all them, director Birsa Dasgupta took to his Twitter and wrote, “It is tough to make a sequel to your best ever, #BaisheSrabon. The trailer of #DwitiyoPurush indicates that @srijitspeaketh has achieved the impossible.” The national award winner director Srijit Mukherji is known for making suspense films and his last film which was not suspense but on the freedom fighter leader Subhash Chandra Bose was also hit. 


Dwitiyo Purush story starts from Baishe Srabon had left off. In Baishe Srabon starred Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Abir Chatterjee. Dwitiyo Purush stars Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Rwitobroto Mukherjee in the lead role.

Meanwhile, Birsa Dasgupta has wrapped up the shooting of his first web series Mafia. The web series stars Isha Saha, Ridhima Ghosh, Anindita Bose, Madhurima Roy, Ankita Chakraborty and Namit Das.

Mafia, is a web series, will be produced by Parambrata Chatterjee’s production house. The series will have five episodes and will be released in both Hindi and Bengali languages.
