Dwitiyo Purush: Whole Cast Crew Of Srijit Mukherji's Next Thriller Announced

Dwitiyo Purush: Whole Cast Crew Of Srijit Mukherji's Next Thriller Announced
Srijit Mukherji has started shooting of his next film 'Dwitiyo Purush' and has also announced the whole cast of the film. The film will see Parambrata Chatterjee reprise the role of chief detective Abhijit Pakrashi and Raima Sen will be essaying her character of Amrita. The film is slated to release next year.

The cast will have Anirban Bhattacharya, Gaurav Chakrabarty and Rwitobroto Mukherjee. Gaurav Chakrabarty and Rwitobroto Mukherjee will be working with Srijit Mukherji for the first time. The cast will also have Riddhima Ghosh who had last worked with Srijit Mukherji in Rajkahini.


Dwitiyo Purush will be a sequel to his 2011hit film ‘Baishe Srabon’, which starred Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Abir Chatterjee and director Gautam Ghosh.

According to reports, the story of Dwitiyo Purush will start from where Baishe Srabon had left off. The film will see Parambrata Chatterjee reprise the role of chief detective Abhijit Pakrashi and Raima Sen will be essaying her character of Amrita.

Baishe Srabon story revolved two journalists and two police officers (one suspended) chasing a vengeful Kolkata psychopath, who leaves behind couplets from Bengali poems. Baishe Srabon received positive reviews from critics, and was one of the highest-grossing Bengali films of 2011. The film received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification for adult language.
