Golondaaj: Dhrubo Banerjee Feels Fortunate To Direct A Film On A Forgotten Hero

The film will show Dev Adhikari essaying the role of Nagendra Prasad Saradhikari, who is considered the father of Indian football. The sports drama is releasing this year and the filmmakers have released the tentative date also.

Director Dhurbo Banerjee is excited about his next film which is on a sports personality. The film stars Dev Adhikari, Ishaa Saha, Indrashish Ray, Srikanto Acharya, Joydeep Mukherjee and John Bhattacharya in the lead roles. The film story will revolve around Indian footballer Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari.

Ahead of shooting, Dhurbo Banerjee had written a post on social media and said that he feels fortunate to direct a film on unforgotten hero. “Hope I will remain nervous prior to all my films ... so that I am conscious of the respect and dignity that every film deserves ... Golondaaj celebrates a forgotten hero ... a legend ... and I feel fortunate to be the narrator of this epic ... Tomorrow it is.”

And to maintain the curiosity among fans, the filmmakers today released the first look of Dev Adhikari as Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari.  
SVF entertainment took to its official Twitter handle and wrote, “ভারতীয় ফুটবলের জনক... Presenting @idevadhikari as Nagendra Prasad Sarbadhikari in #Golondaaj | Shoot starts today!”

The film will show Dev Adhikari essaying the role of Nagendra Prasad Saradhikari, who is considered the father of Indian football. The sports drama is releasing this year.

As the reports claim, Nagendra Prasad is considered as the father of Indian football and also introduced football to teenagers in India. He started playing football in 1877. Nagendra even formed a club as an initiative to promote football in India.
