Gumnaami: Srijit Mukherji And Chandra Kumar Bose Lock Horns, Yet Again
It seems the spat between national award winner director Srijit Mukherji and grand-nephew of Netaji, Chandra Kumar Bose is far from over. They have again indulged into heated conversation on the Twitter.

Chandra Kumar Bose has tweeted, “Conclusive evidence of aircrash theory is yet to surface, however there's absolutely no evidence to connect #Netaji with a recluse-  #GumnamiBaba. Producers/film directors free to make any kind of movie, but it's not ethical to connect a man of action with a recluse without proof.”

Srijit Mukherji replied, “The 'connection' has already been made & examined multiple times. By Lalita Bose, Kolkata High Court, Allahabad High Court, Mukherjee Commission (which I show with its verdict), Sahai Commission and several TV channels/ newspapers. Are they unethical? Why shoot the messenger?:)”

The film has been in headlines ever since its announcement. A lot of buzz was created when the poster of the film was released. It shows Prosenjit Chatterjee as Bose and a crashed aircraft with smoke billowing out of it. The poster asks, "Did he die in the plane crash? Did he die in Russia? Did he die as ascetic?"

The film is based on Gumnaami baba who was assumed to be the legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Baba led the life as Hindu saint in Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh in the 1970s or 80s. Netaji Bose died in a plane crash in 1945 which has been doubted by many.
