I Want To Go Beyond My Comfort Zone And Explore Myself As An Actor, Says Koel Mallick

Koel Mallick’s last release ‘Sagardwipey Jawker Dhan’ performed well on the box office. The film starred Parambrata Chatterjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty in the lead role. But the actress has shared her concern regarding the commercial and mainstream films. She has stop doing commercial films which is demanded by her fans.
Koel Mallick voicing her opinion on the same said, “As an actor I want to explore myself and to go beyond my comfort zone.” Adding to this she said that she is ready to do commercial films only if the script is interesting.

Last year, Koel Mallick two thriller films were released. Mitin Mashi in which she essayed the role of a detective was also appreciated by everyone. Directed by Arindam Sil, the film became an inspiration for many women and also brought many laurels. It also travelled to many film festivals.
In Sagardwipey Jawker Dhan, Parambrata Chatterjee and Gaurav Chakraborty plays the role of Bimal and Kumar and Koel Mallick essays the role of a doctor. Bimal and Kumar meet a petrol pump owner Bakashyam Dhar, whose father Radheshyam Dhar was a scientist. Radheshyam was very adventurous and many years back he sited a remote island in the sea of South East Asia, where he discovered a stone, which has a layer of a mythical chemical compound named Red Mercury. Radheshyam's research suggested that this chemical could be a very effective substitute for the gradually exhausting fossil fuel.
