Srijit Mukherji and Rafiath Rashid Mithila have been dating for some time and now there are speculations that the couple is planning to get married next year. However, there is no official confirmation from both the side.
According to the sources, the marriage is likely on February 22. Srijit is in a relationship with Bangladeshi singer, model, actress and development worker.
Srijit first introduced Mithila to his friends at a private bash at the start of the year. Mithila did her masters in political science from the University of Dhaka and completed her second masters in Early Childhood Development. Srijit connected with her on Facebook a few months back and the two kept in touch. The common interests in film and music brought them closer. After that, Mithila was in Kolkata to shoot for a music video. The song was by popular Bangladeshi singer Arnob. Mithila is Arnob’s cousin and the video was directed by an ensemble, Ekalabya Chowdhury. It was made by Srijit’s production house.
Few days back, Rafiath Rashid’s intimate pictures with director Ifethkar Ahmed Fahmi had gone viral. The incident didn't well with the Bangladeshi actress and she had even raised her voice against the incident.
Srijit Mukherji is presently busy in the shooting of Dwitiyo Purush. The film will see Parambrata Chatterjee reprise the role of chief detective Abhijit Pakrashi and Raima Sen will be essaying her character of Amrita.
He has also directing first web series Feluda Pherot which will have Tota Roy Chowdhury in the lead role.
