Kolkata Lockdown: Parambrata Chatterjee Hails State Government Decision; Urges People To Stay At Home
 Actor cum director Parambrata Chatterjee has hailed the state government decision of locking down Kolkata owing to the outbreak of Coronavirus. The government has decided to completely shut down 75 districts across the country where cases have been reported. The suspension will continue till March 31 as a precautionary measure.

Parambrata Chatterjee took to Twitter to express his participation in the government decision and even urged people to stay at home to curb the further spread of the virus. “#lockdownkolkata Welcome decision! Hope this instils some sense in people who’re taking to streets in bunches to have fun! thumbs up to the state government for their proactive steps & for sparing a thought for the homeless in these trying times!” he tweeted.


He further wrote, “While the whole country got together to cheer the essential caregivers, irrespective of language religion & politics, it was absolutely heartbreaking to see herds of people  Coming out as if to ‘celebrate’! It defeats the whole goddamn purpose! Guys, wake up!”


On the work front, Parambrata Chatterjee will be next seen in Arindam Bhattacharya’s next thriller Antardhaan. The film is about missing girl child. Parambrata Chatterjee and Tanusree Chakraborty will be seen in essaying the role of husband and wife. Parambrata has been recently transferred. The couple has a daughter who one day went missing. When they start searching for her, the couple comes to know that their daughter had gone out with her friend. But the friend did not accompany their daughter then where does she go? The film is a thriller and full of suspense.
