Pratim D Gupta’s directorial Love Aaj Kal Porshu is releasing tomorrow on valentine day. The film which stars Madhumita Sarkar and Arjun Chakrabarty in the lead role, also have Anindita Bose and Paoli Dam in the pivotal role. Paoli Dam’s collaboration with Pratim D Gupta is from a long time. She was also part of his last film Shantilal O Projapoti Rohoshyo.
Talking about her role, Paoli Dam said that her character name is Kalki Maitra and she is the backbone of the film. “Kalki has the whole controls of the film. There is a mystery around her. Basically she is a game-changer of the film and controls the lives of the lead actors. My character is the backbone of the film,” she added while talking to The Times Of India.
Paoli Dam’s latest release is Sanjhbati which talks about the relationship of parents and children. The film showcases relationship from a completely different angle. Dev Adhikari plays the character of a suburban young man who comes to the city and meets a young girl played by Paoli in unusual circumstances. However, Lily Chakraborty plays the main protagonist in the film. The veteran actress plays the role of an elderly woman who is in the center of the narrative.
