Mimi Chakraborty Shares Her Lok Sabha Speech Video on Instagram, Listen Here
Actress turned politician Mimi Chakraborty is busy attending Monsoon Session of Parliament in New Delhi. She represents Jadhavpur constituency in West Bengal. She has shared a video on social media, where she is seen speaking on lynching.

Mimi has shared the video on her official Instagram account and she sounds confident.  She wrote, “Yesterday I was present when this massacre was going on. I just want to say one little thing. When I first came to this Parliament, everybody respected me, everybody welcomed me with open heart and that was what I was learning. But yesterday when I was present here, I had been called the youngest MP, this, that. But all I want to say is that, Sir, this is a learning process and what happened yesterday cannot be a part of my learning process which I, as a woman, am learning every day. Quite apart from any political difference which we may have, and we fight on that, this should be unanimous, we should fight for it totally. Nobody can stand in the Parliament and tell a woman, and a Speaker at that, to look into his eyes and talk. You might be very rhythmic in your couplets or anything such, but what you said was not a parliamentary thing to do. All women right here are expecting a response from you.”

It is to be noted here that Mimi Chakraborty had recently hit the headlines for posting a picture of her wearing a western dress at Parliament. Mimi’s picture along Nusrat was widely circulated on the internet. Mimi opted for casual jeans and shirt look while Nusrat was dressed in fitted pants and a zipped peplum top. They were trolled badly on social media. Mimi Chakraborty represents Jadhavpur in the lower house. Mimi won by over 2.9 lakh vote defeating BJP candidate Anupam Hazra and veteran CPI (M) leader Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya.
