MP Nusrat Jahan In ICU Due To Respiratory Problem, Misses Winter Session

She is an elected Member of Parliament for Basirhat. She emerged as the winner by a margin of 350,000 votes against BJP candidate Sayantan Basu. She will be next seen in Asur with actors Jeet and Abir Chatterjee

MP Nusrat Jahan In ICU Due To Respiratory Problem, Misses Winter Session
Actress turned politician Nusrat Jahan has been admitted to private hospital after she complained of breathing problem. She was rushed to hospital on Sunday night and the family confirmed on Monday.  

As reported in other media houses, her family had said in a statement "Nusrat has been admitted in hospital due to a respiratory issue. She has a history of Asthma."
ANI also reported, “Actor and TMC MP Nusrat Jahan is not attending the Parliament session today. She was admitted to Apollo Hospital in West Bengal's Kolkata yesterday due to some respiratory issue.” Jahan as reported is now in a stable condition and conscious.  


Nusrat Jahan Ruhi joined active politics in 2019 and contested from Basirhat as a Trinamool Congress candidate. Jahan's screen debut was in Raj Chakraborty's Shotru. She then appeared in the film Khoka 420, under the banner Eskay Movies. Her other notable movies include Khiladi, with Ankush Hazra, Sondhe Namar Agey, with Rahul Bose and Power, with Jeet under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films. She is an elected Member of Parliament for Basirhat. She emerged as the winner by a margin of 350,000 votes against BJP candidate Sayantan Basu. 

Nusrat Jahan had been in a relationship with businessman Nikhil Jain since 2018. They got married in June 2019 in Turkey. She was also trolled for marrying Hindu and practicing Hindu rituals.
